Elpida created DDR2-1066 Mobile RAM running on 1.2 Volts

The Japanese company Elpida Memory has announced 30-nanometer memory chips of DDR2 Mobile RAM with density of 4 Gbps. The new memory is designed for 1.2 V power supply, demonstrating the data transfer rate of 1066 Mbps. The current consumed at the same time, approximately 30% less than current consumption by a pair of 40-nanometer Elpida chips with density of 2 Gb each.
